Fell & Sell Stuck? Every Known Fix (Patched & Workarounds)
First: update the game
Art Games Studio shipped two patches within hours of the August 26 launch. If Steam has not auto-updated you to 1.0.2 or later, most of the issues on this page are already fixed for you. Right-click the game in your Steam library → Properties → Updates to confirm.
”The dungeon has no way forward”
Status: fixed in 1.0.2. The official patch notes confirm the dungeon generator “sometimes blocked off passages, making it impossible to finish the level.” This was not you missing a hidden door — some layouts genuinely sealed themselves.
- On 1.0.2+: layouts should always be completable. Doors you open now also stay open, so backtracking to find the real route is much easier.
- If a floor still looks sealed: check for breakable props masking a passage (crates and furniture are destructible), then exit the run — your banked loot is safe, only carried items are at risk.
”My character froze after entering a new floor”
Status: fixed in 1.0.2. The notes describe exactly this: a bug that “would sometimes cause the player character to completely freeze after loading into a new dungeon floor.” Update; if a freeze still happens, force-quit via Task Manager and relaunch — then report it on the official Discord or Steam Discussions, which the developers read around the clock (their words, and their launch-day patch speed backs it up).
”My weapon disappeared when I picked something up”
Status: fixed in 1.0.2. Before the patch, switching from a heavier weapon to a lighter one with a full or overloaded inventory permanently destroyed the heavier weapon. Now any weapon that does not fit is dropped on the ground at your feet — look down before you leave the room.
”The sword in the stone won’t come out”
That one is (probably) not a bug — it is the Bloodstone Greatsword, the game’s most famous tease. No official unlock requirements exist yet; we track the confirmed facts and leading theories in the Bloodstone Greatsword guide.
Smaller launch-window annoyances
| Symptom | Status | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Health/stamina/mana bars jitter when stats exceed 250 | Fixed in 1.0.1 | Update |
| Demo reward furniture missing from inventory | Fixed in 1.0.1 | Update — it is granted automatically, see the demo guide |
| Motion discomfort / FOV too tight | Improved in 1.0.1 | FOV slider now goes down to 40 in settings |
| Sprint/crouch require holding keys | Solved in Demo 2.0.1, carried into release | Enable toggle mode in options |
| TAB menu pops open mid-fight | Changed in Demo 2.0.1 | TAB now opens on hold, not press |
| Enemies stuck behind scenery | Known quirk, not patched as of 1.0.2 | Free hits for you; report persistent cases on Discord |
Still stuck?
The developers actively read the official Discord (linked from their Steam announcements) and the Steam Discussions board — both were credited in the launch-day patch notes for bug reports. Include your floor number and what you were carrying; inventory-weight interactions caused several launch bugs, so that detail helps.
Thanks for the feedback!
